A graduate research assistantship in the Wildlife Ecology and Conservation Department or the Department of Agronomy at the University of Florida is available. The graduate assistantship will
be awarded to a qualified individual interested in conducting research on the integrated weed management strategies of tropical soda apple (Solanum viarum). The University of Florida has 23 faculty studying terrestrial and aquatic weedy plant species at the main campus in Gainesville and at several off campus research centers. Over 400 species of weeds in Florida, many of which are unique to the state, occur because of the semi-tropical and tropical climate and diverse agroecosystems.
Employment Period:
The research assistantship will be an MS degree program.
