Bird Sounds

PURPOSE

The ability to identify a wide range of birds will be an asset to you in your future research or employment. Not all of Florida’s diverse avifauna can be learned in one semester. Thus, we have selected species that you are likely to encounter throughout Florida, are characteristic of particular Florida ecosystems/habitats, or are important with respect to wildlife conservation or management. You are encouraged to learn well beyond the scope of what will be taught during the labs and field trips.
