Climate Change: implications for biodiversity and conservation

Course description:
This seminar is an opportunity for participants to learn, read, and discuss more about climate change, its impacts on biodiversity, and potential responses of conservation practitioners and researchers. We will aim to read and discuss 1-2 relevant publications each week (no lectures will be given). Each participating graduate student will be responsible for facilitating 1 class period. He or she will need to (1) research a topic of interest, (2) produce an annotated bibliography of 10 relevant publications which will be compiled into an Endnote database, (3) in consultation with Dr. Didier, select 1-2 publications for the class to read, (4) lead discussion on the topic for a class period.

Thursdays, 12:50-1:45 (period 10) The first class on January 10 will be a short, organizational meeting.
