UF in Namibia - Spring 2010

Namibia 1

Greetings! During May of 2010 the department of Wildlife Ecology and Conservation will be holding a field course in Namibia. The course will be 6 credits of WIS 4905 and include Namibian Field Mammalogy, Namibian Field Ornithology and Namibian Ecotourism. The course will run from May 5 through May 25, and the course fee will be $4114.00.

If you are interested please email M.P. Moulton at moultonm@ufl.edu, send a statement of describing what you hope to gain from the course, and arrange for someone to send a letter of recommendation on your behalf. Living conditions will not be harsh (in door plumbing, showers, 24/7 electricity), but we will be cooking our own meals (in a full kitchen for the first two weeks of the course when we stay at the Otjiwa Game Ranch). Students will participate on two game drives, and a rhinoceros stalk. Instructors: Dr. David Reed; Mike Moulton and Taylor Stein.
