My interest is general ecology, though most of my work is in wetlands. I am especially interested in the application of remote sensing to ecological monitoring and finding the limits of what RS can and can’t do. I am currently co-PI on two projects: a climate change project on the west coast of Florida and a project monitoring the demography and habitat of the endangered Florida snail kite. I am mostly a habitat person, but have worked with alligators, birds, fish, and sea turtles in the past.
