Hours Extension Petition - http://www.sfa.ufl.edu/isis/HoursExtension.pdf
The primary reason students attend UF is to pursue their educational goals. Employment should not interfere or take priority over studentsí educational pursuits. For this reason, students who are registered full time are limited to working 20 hours per week. Students registered full time and working 20 hours per week, in combination with study hours, have approximately 40 hours per week of time devoted to those activities. Students who are registered full time and would like to work more than 20 hours per week must complete the Hours Extension form. Once students complete the Hours Extension form they are to return it to the employing department for submission to Student Employment.

Class/Work Schedule - http://www.sfa.ufl.edu/isis/empl-0006-0103.pdf
Students and employers must be aware that students cannot work during scheduled classes unless the student has submitted a valid class dismissal form. Students should complete a Class/Work Schedule indicating when they have class (C) and when they prefer to work (W). Two-hour work blocks are preferred.

Class Dismissal Form - http://www.sfa.ufl.edu/isis/empl-0008-12_05.pdf
Student employment policy governing both Federal Work-Study (FWS) and Student Assistant (STAS) forbids a student working during scheduled classes unless they have given a valid Class Dismissal Form to their work supervisor prior to their working. This form must be completed and returned to the Student Employment Office prior to the input into PeopleSoft of the hours worked. Failure to comply with this policy may result in dismissal of the student employee or in eligibility of the department/agency to participate in student employment programs.
