GREENING WEC

The WEC Greening Committee is a student-based group that was organized to increase environmental awareness and sustainability within the Department of Wildlife Ecology and Conservation. We believe that a department that focuses on conservation as one of its primary disciplines should do so both in the classroom and in the overall management of the department, from the ground, up.

The WEC Greening Committee is designed to be a forum for students, faculty, and staff to generate new ideas on how we can improve the environmental efficiency of the Wildlife Department. The Committee then works with the Department to assess the feasibility of these options and to implement those ideas that are economically acceptable.

The Committee invites all interested parties to offer their suggestions for greening our department. No ideas are too big or too small, including everything from printing and photocopying on both sides of a page to monitoring wood duck boxes on Lake Alice.
